How to Choose the Right Diamond Blade or Core Bit

• Material – match the rim to the job: segmented for concrete and brick, continuous rim for tile and porcelain, corrugated or wave types for granite and marble.
• Wet or dry use – some wheels are meant for water cooling and others for dry cutting, so check the marking before use.
• Diameter and bore – the wheel size must suit your grinder or cutter, and the arbor or thread (such as M10 or M14) must match.
• Finish quality – fine-work rims leave cleaner edges for visible cuts, while rough-work types remove material faster.
• Application type – choose core bits for round holes and pin drills for small holes in tile or stone.
