How to choose
- Air delivery (L/min) – add up the air use of the tools you will run at the same time and choose a compressor that delivers more.
- Tank size – bigger tanks mean longer tool run time and fewer motor starts; 24L suits light DIY, 50–100L suits workshops.
- Power supply – most models run on standard 230V; 5.5HP and above need a 415V three-phase supply.
Good to know: In Singapore, air receivers above 100 bar-litres (for example, a 24L tank at 8 bar) must be registered with MOM and inspected by a PE before use, with re-inspection every 2 years.
