3,000 lumens from a Luminus SFT-70 LED.

The Luminus SFT-70 LED runs through a crystal-coated optical system with Precision Digital Optics Technology (PDOT) for a clean, far-reaching beam. At full output it throws 3,000 lumens, bright enough to light up a stairwell, a yard or a hillside in one press.

Strobe the moment you need it, without hunting for a mode.

The 2nd-generation Strobe Ready tailcap puts an instant strobe under your thumb. When the light is off in either user mode, press and hold the MODE button and it fires straight to a disorienting strobe at 3,000 lumens, with no scrolling to get there.

One-handed control, by feel, with gloves on.

The dual tail switch keeps everything at the back of the light. The tactical switch gives you momentary-on for a quick look and constant-on for sustained work, while the inset MODE button adjusts output and reaches strobe without you ever shifting grip.

A U-shaped tail cap that does three jobs.

The 3-in-1 U-shaped tail cap shields the switch against accidental activation in a pocket or kit bag, so the light stays off until you mean to use it. It also lets the P23i tail-stand for hands-free area light, and takes the included lanyard so it rides on a wrist or a belt loop on a long shift.

A strike bezel that breaks vehicle glass.

The hardened steel bezel carries blacked-out silicon-nitride ceramic beads that focus all the impact into a single point, shattering a car or building window quickly for a rescue or an escape.

The built-in USB-C port refills the 5,000mAh battery from flat to full in 3 hours 50 minutes, off a wall plug, a laptop or a power bank, with a reversible plug that goes in either way in the dark.

The included NITECORE NL2150HPi is a 5,000mAh 21700 cell rated for 15A high output, with dual-way positive and negative terminals at both ends so it drops in either direction.

Mid runs 800 lumens for four hours, enough output to clear a building or work a scene with time to spare. Step down to the 50-lumen Ultralow and the P23i runs for 45 hours, which turns it into a dependable emergency and standby light.

An IP68 rating means it is sealed and submersible to 2 metres, so a downpour, a dropped-in-the-puddle moment or a wade across a stream is a non-event.

Built from aero-grade aluminium, drop after drop.

The body is machined from aero-grade aluminium alloy with an HA III hard-anodised finish, then tested to a 2-metre impact resistance standard, so a fall from a duty belt or a fumble in the dark does not put it out of action.

A one-inch tube that fits standard mounts and carries light.

At 143.5mm long with a one-inch (25.4mm) standard tube diameter, the P23i sits in common ring mounts and rides easily in a pocket, a holster or a kit bag. It weighs 114.5g without the battery, so a full-size, long-throw duty light carries without dragging on a belt through a shift.
