Steady power at -40°C

Reliable light in deep cold. A conventional Li-ion cell can drop to 10% of its usable capacity or less in extreme cold. The HLB2500 keeps over 80%, so your headlamp stays bright through a long freezing night.

Paired with the HA29 UHE, the HIGH level holds around 400 lumens in the -40°C to -30°C range. That is the difference between a working light and a dead one on a winter ridge.

Ready at 10,000m

Fearless in thin, low-pressure air. The HLB2500 delivers stable power at altitudes up to 10,000m, so it keeps working through the summit push where the air, and lesser batteries, run out.

Sealed to IPX8

At home in snow, rain and immersion. The pack is built to shrug off sudden weather, from a torrential downpour to a driving blizzard, and carries an IPX8 waterproof rating so a soaking on the trail is a non-event.

Recharge anywhere over USB-C

Charge it straight from the pack. The built-in USB-C port tops the HLB2500 up from any USB-C source, so a power bank or a car socket at the trailhead is all you need. No dedicated charger to pack.

A colour indicator keeps you informed: red constant-on while it charges, green constant-on when it is full. Pre-charge a spare before you leave and you always know exactly what you are carrying.

Protected from the inside out

Multiple safeguards on every charge. A high-quality protection IC and high-power MOS-FET regulation guard against overcharge, over-discharge and short circuits, with separator thermal shutdown protection as an added layer.

Built to take a knock

Rugged where it counts. A high-strength plastic housing lowers the risk of impact-induced short circuits, while an integrated high-strength potting design protects both the cell and the circuit board.

Nickel-plated copper contacts at both ends add impact and oxidation resistance, keeping a clean connection to your headlamp trip after trip.

Which headlamps does the HLB2500 work with?

The HLB2500 is a direct-fit rechargeable pack for the Nitecore HA29 UHE and HA27 UHE. It drops straight in as your main cell, and because it is a self-contained pack you can carry a charged spare and swap it in the field in seconds.

Can I charge it on its own, and how do I know when it is full?

Yes. The USB-C port is on the pack itself, so it charges from any USB-C source at 5V/1.5A with no headlamp and no dedicated charger needed. The indicator glows red constant-on while charging and green constant-on once full, so a spare is easy to prepare before a trip.

How should I look after it between trips?

Store it partially charged in a cool, dry place. Built-in over-discharge protection looks after a resting cell, and with ≥500 recharge cycles at room temperature a single pack lasts many seasons of regular use.
